Lets face it, the world owes us nothing. Nothing is given to us, nothing handed to us and we can't get to where we wanna go unless we work for it. Not only that, we NEED people. We need people in our lives to support us, to assist us on the climb, and to educate us enough to continue moving forward. Sometimes the fuel to continue moving forward comes from those who doubt, those who say we'll never make it, those who feel they deserve the kind of success we want without the work.

The old hardcore punk PMA (positive mental attitude) mindset is a huge deal and does apply in face of opposition. That hardcore punk kid still lives inside my 35 year old body and he is always rising up to rebel, it's just a healthier rebellion than it was when I was a kid! My rebellion comes in the form of going against the grain of a lazy, entitled America that constantly replaces CAN with CAN'T (You know who you are!).

When I was young a lot of people told me that my dreams were un-achievable, that they were silly, or something I would grow out of. Guess what? My dreams are achievable and I am living them right now! I know you may feel worn out and tired of working toward goals that people say are impossible but use their doubt to fuel your fire to achieve!

No one owes me anything, you either...but you owe it to yourself to rebel, to climb above the doubters, and achieve in spite of what others say. Let others talk, let their negative words be the fuel to reach your positive goals, to prove that it CAN be done!

So the world owes you & me nothing but we owe it ourselves to work for everything, lets quickly talk about how! How do we get to the destination we seek? Here's what worked for me & just may work for you! Keep it simple, focus big and start small.

  • Write down your biggest dreams (Nothing is impossible!)
  • Determine which dream is most important to you (Think hard!)
  • Create a timeline to reach that dream then double it (Think you can do it in a year? Make it two. Thinking ten years, make it twenty.)
  • Research that dream (Do so on the internet, by asking people, by reading books, finding a mentor, anything.)
  • Create a loose plan to reach your dream (By year, by half-year, month, week, day.)
  • Take action (Start doing anything you can to move closer to your dream daily, even just one thing!)

Chances are good you already know where you wanna go in life. Sometimes that dream is buried under years of doubt from yourself and others but it's in there. Let it out, live with purpose -TAKE THAT CHANCE - you are so worth it. Rebel against all the CAN'Ts out there and become the CAN in life!
